Quality made in Germany

With the end of the Second World War and the introduction of compulsory military service in 1956, the Ministry of Defence was looking for a location for an ammunition factory. The decision in favour of the Nassau site was quickly made due to its proximity to the Bundeswehr procurement office based in Koblenz.
Metallwerk Elisenhütte GmbH, based in Nassau (MEN for short), was entered in the commercial register on 21 September 1957.
Since its foundation, we have been manufacturing and supplying our ammunition to the German Armed Forces, police forces and authorities as well as NATO partner states.

MEN has been a member and integral part of CBC Global Ammo LLC since 2007. Since then, MEN has been able to continuously invest in the site and modernise its machinery.
Today, more than 65 years after its foundation, MEN can look back on a successful company history and is one of the most important manufacturers in the field of infantry ammunition.

MEN, based in Nassau Nature Park, is particularly keen to make its contribution to protecting the environment.
Environmental protection consists of a tightly knit network whose nodes are interdependent. That is why the measures we have introduced to protect the environment are far more stringent than required by law. Waste water disposal, waste utilisation and recycling are just a few of the important keywords here.

This very conscious use of resources has also influenced our product development and driven forward – wherever possible – low-pollutant and heavy metal-free production. Thanks to this continuous process, MEN is now able to produce many cartridges in its portfolio as „Green Ammunition“. Every product labelled with this logo is lead-free and contains only low-pollutant components.
